Policies

General Policies

  • Respect Property. Campers and guests shall respect the land and air rights of neighboring campers and shall keep all conversation, music, etc., to low levels (e.g., within the confines of own campsite).

  • Quiet Hours. Quiet hours shall be observed from 11 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

  • Fireworks/Firearms. No fireworks may be possessed or exploded in the campground at any time. No firearms or bows may be discharged on Campground property. No concealed carries allowed in the campground.

  • Campfires. All open fires shall be well attended and under control. All burning ordinances issued will be followed.

  • Pets. All pets shall be kept on a leash or otherwise confined while in the campground. You shall clean up and dispose of pet's waste. Proof of shots for dogs must be on record with management for the current year. Guests are not allowed to bring dogs into Campground without prior management approval. If approved, guests must provide current rabies vaccination paperwork upon arrival.

  • Tree Removal. Campers may not cut/trim or remove any existing trees without the expressed consent of Campground. If Camper is given permission by Campground to remove a tree from their site, Camper will, at his/her sole cost, hire a licensed tree removal company to remove the tree. Camper, at his/her sole cost, must replace the tree by planting another tree either on Camper’s site or of a chosen place by Campground. Camper must purchase a chosen tree from Campground tree provider.

  • Site Redesign. Campground retains the right to "re-design" or to "re-landscape" any campsite if this is judged to be in the best interest of the Campground.

  • Personal Property Tax. Personal property assessments are conducted by Columbia County and not the Campground. Commencing 2024 personal property taxes will be mailed to you in January 2025 from the Campground, along with your January electric invoice. You will have 30 days to pay the invoice. Campground will be using Columbia County’s mill rate x the latest assessed value of your personal property to calculate the tax.

  • Garbage Disposal. Campers shall properly dispose of all garbage and trash. Filled garbage bags shall be closed/tied and placed in the dumpster. Waste from cleaning fish must be placed in sealed plastic bags and placed in dumpster. Bulk and other waste items shall NOT be disposed of using the dumpster. These dumpsters are NOT for discarding construction materials, old bikes, grills, refrigerators, hot water heaters, a/c units, tires, etc. There will be a $100 fine for wrongfully disposed of items, plus the cost incurred by Lake Wisconsin Campground, LLC to dispose of such items. Cameras are installed near dumpsters, and fines will be imposed.

  • Mandatory Recycling. Campers and their guests shall separate their recyclable items from their general garbage and dispose of these items in the proper containers.

  • Water use. Water will be turned on April 15, weather permitting. Water will be shut off each year October 15. Water should be used in moderation for watering lawns.

  • Fish Tank Use. Aeration tank can be used. Do not use continuous water flow for aeration.

  • Septic Pumping/Honey Bucket. There is drop box and chalkboard at the entrance of Campground. Please place your payment in the box and write your Site number on the chalkboard prior to Thursday mornings, if you wish to have your tank pumped that particular week. Pumps are conducted every Thursday between May 1 and October 15. The Campground is not responsible for any breakage of the "pull rod handles" on trailer holding tanks. Pumping fees are as follows: 60 gallon - $10; 100 gallon - $15; 300 gallon - $40

    There is a $50 fee if Camper overfills their tank and tank becomes bulging. If it happens more than once, Camper will be responsible for hiring a contractor to empty the bulging tank. If emergency pumps are required there will be a $50 charge at the time of pumping, and ONLY if Blake is available to empty your tank.

  • Violations.
    • Anyone caught plugging in power cords into another meter other than their own will be evicted immediately.
    • Anyone found violating the restrooms or showers, including Camper’s minor children, in any way will be evicted immediately from the Campground.

Campsite Policies

  • Campsite Maintenance. Camper is responsible for the maintenance of their lawns. Any tree, shrubs, or flowers planted by the Camper shall become the property of Campground upon termination of the Admission Agreement.

  • Campsite Appearance. Camper shall at all times, at Camper’s sole expense, keep and maintain the Campsite and RV in a clean and orderly condition, which includes but is not limited to:
    • Camper agrees to keep the grounds of their campsite free of rubbish and trash and in a neat and acceptable condition based on the discretion of Campground.
    • Camper shall mow the grass, burn or dispose of leaves and maintain the landscape on the campsite. If grass becomes long and unsightly, Campground will mow, trim and charge Camper $50 per hour.
    • Paint colors shall be in earth tones and preapproved by Campground.
    • Camper shall maintain its Unit so that its physical appearance does not disrupt the right to enjoyment and use of the Campground by others. If Camper fails to maintain the Campsite and/or Unit, Campground shall notify Camper in writing of such failure. If Camper fails to take corrective action within 10 business days of receiving such written notice, Campground shall have the right to perform the maintenance on Camper’s behalf. Camper shall be responsible for the costs of such maintenance at the rate of $50 per hour plus materials.
    • No sign may be affixed to any trees, posted in the common areas. Campground reserves the right to request inappropriate signs to be taken down.

  • Fences. No Fences are to be installed without prior consent of Campground. Campground has the right to deny any Camper’s request to install a fence for any reason. Campground also has the right to specify material, height, length and placement of a fence. Existing fences have been grandfathered to accommodate previously installed fences prior to Campground’s ownership.

  • Construction Improvements. Camper agrees to discuss with and to receive the approval of the Campground before adding any construction improvements to their Campsite such as a deck, shed, etc. Camper must receive permission from the Campground as to the size and placement of all construction improvements. No campsite improvements, including a new or replaced trailer should be made or added to the site unless all fees and other payment obligations are paid in full.

  • Campsite Distance Separation Requirements. Wis. Administrative Code (ATCP 79.13(a)) - Campsite Distance Separation Requirements code states, among other things, the operator (Lake Wisconsin Campground) shall require a minimum distance of 10 feet between camping units measured from the outside edge of one camping unit to the outside edge of another camping unit, excluding slideouts….any accessory within 10 feet of a camping unit such as, but not limited to, a deck, or storage shed shall be considered part of the camping unit for the purposes of determining distance separation. If a campsite existing before February 1, 2016 is not in compliance with the separation requirement, the operator (Campground) shall develop an action plan in accordance with WDATCP and implement the plan to bring the campsite into compliance.

Golf Cart Policies

  • Operating Times. Golf carts shall not be driven during quite hours (11 p.m. to 7 a.m.).

  • Drivers. All drivers must have a valid drivers’ license.

  • Golf Cart Appearance . All golf carts must have working headlights and reflectors to be driven at night. All golf carts must have your site number visibly displayed with a minimum of 3” numbers.

  • Insurance. All golf carts must be insured by the Camper.

  • Golf Cart Storage. Winter storage in the rec hall is available on a first come, first serve basis. Cost is $30. Payment is due at time of placing cart in the rec hall. Payment should be put in the drop box with “Cart Storage” in the memo line or on envelope, along with your site number. Carts cannot be parked in rec hall prior to Oct 15 and must be removed by April 15.

Guest Policies

  • Visiting Guests. Anyone who is not a party to the signed Admission Agreement is considered a guest, including children over the age of 18. Guests may not occupy Camper’s campsite if Camper is not present. There are no fees for having guests stay while Camper is present.

  • Overnight Guests. If guests place a tent on your site while you are present, there is a $30 per night charge. Approval must be obtained prior to guest’s stay.

Vehicle/Trailer Policies

  • Vehicles. Only two vehicles will be allowed at Camper’s site. All vehicles must have current registered license plates. No vehicles can be stored or kept on site while Camper is not present without management’s permission.

  • Snowmobiles/Trailers. Only one snowmobile trailer may be on Camper’s site from October 15 to April 1. After April 1, snowmobiles and trailers must be removed from the Campground premises. Snowmobiles must be on trailers at all times when not in use.

  • Selling Trailers “On-Site”. The Camper agrees to notify the Campground if Camper plans to sell their Unit "on site." A FOR SALE sign can be displayed with Camper’s contact information. Campground will not show Camper’s unit to potential buyers. All Admission Fees and electrical fees must be paid in full at the time the Camper intends to sell their Unit on site. The Campground retains the right to ask for a satisfactory credit reference from the prospective buyer prior to the sale. The Campground retains the right to "not accept" new buyers for any reason. Campers who leave their Units on the property without paying their admission fee, will be charged a minimum of $1,000 for removing campers, sheds and decks.

  • Recreational Vehicles. All-terrain vehicles are strictly prohibited to be operated on Lake Wisconsin Campground property. Golf carts and mopeds must only be operated by licensed drivers. All vehicles must be used responsibly and abide by the posted speed limits.

  • Ice Shanties. Only one Ice Shanty may be on Camper’s site from October 15 to April 1. After April the Ice Shanty must be removed from the Campground premises.

Boating Policies

  • Boating Safety. All boats shall comply with Coast Guard, State of Wisconsin and local boating ordinances.

  • Boat Dock Use. A Camper planning to keep a boat in Whalen's Bay at Hickory Dickory Dock must contact the Campground and make arrangements to rent slips. Boats (one per campsite unless additional space is available) will be assigned to individual slips in relation to the size and depth of Camper’s boat. Slip rental is currently $300 per season.

  • Boats/Trailers Storage. Only one boat and trailer may be kept on Camper’s site. All boats must have current registration. Boat/trailer storage is available in the northeast corner of the property for $200 per season. Please contact Campground if you wish to store boat/trailer during the camping season.

Seasonal Policies

  • Electrical Usage. Camper agrees that Campground shall meter Camper's electrical use. Camper shall thereafter pay for all electrical usage reimbursement within 30 days from receipt of invoice. Electrical meters will be read and billed semi-annually (July and January). There is a $10 per month late fee commencing the first day of delinquency and $10 per month thereafter. Units cannot be used if electrical reimbursement is not paid within 30 days from receipt of invoice.
